In Memoriam: Eileen Marie Warren

We are saddened to inform you that Eileen Warren passed away on Sunday, January 22. Eileen dedicated her career to the Connecticut AFL-CIO, always working hard to ensure that the office and all of our conventions and meetings ran as smoothly as possible. She will be remembered fondly. We extend our deepest sympathies to her husband, Jim, and her family.

Calling hours will be Thursday, January 26, from 4pm to 7 pm at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, January 27, 10:00 am in St, Brigid Church, 1088 New Britain Ave., West Hartford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association, Connecticut Chapter, 4 Oxford Rd., E-4, Milford, CT 06460.

Obituary for Eileen Marie Warren:

Eileen Marie (Duffy) Warren of Rocky Hill, beloved wife of James Warren, passed away peacefully at home, Sunday, January 22, 2017, after courageously dealing with her long illness. She was born at St. Francis Hospital on August 28, 1966. She attended St. Brigid Grammar School and Northwest Catholic High School, and graduated from the Morse School of Business. She worked as an executive secretary at the Connecticut AFL-CIO, Rocky Hill for over 26 years. Eileen was devout Catholic. Eileen and James (a navy veteran) loved sea voyages with over 18 cruises and traveling to Montreal to watch the Montreal Canadians play hockey. Besides her husband, she is survived by her parents, Michael and Mary Duffy of Farmington; her father-in-law, Larry Warren of Coraopolis, PA; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Leonard and Raymie Duffy of Avon, Justin and Allyson Duffy of West Hartford, Ryan and Holly Duffy of Columbia and Michael Duffy of New Britain. She also leaves three nephews, Chase, Finnegan and Tate. Calling hours will be Thursday (January 26), from 4 to 7 pm at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, (January 27), 10:00 am in St, Brigid Church, 1088 New Britain Ave., West Hartford. Burial will be private.
