ROCKY HILL – The Connecticut AFL-CIO, the federation of unions representing over 200,000 union members, endorses Dorinda Borer for State Representative in the special election for the 115th House District, which covers part of West Haven.

“Now, more than ever, we need strong voices at the Capitol who are willing to make a difference in the lives of working people and we believe that Dorinda Borer is the best candidate for the job,” said Lori Pelletier, President of the Connecticut AFL-CIO. “Dorinda Borer has a proven record of advocating for working families. She has demonstrated that she is knowledgeable and concerned about a broad range of issues affecting our state. We look forward to working with her at the Capitol.”

The election, which will be held on February 28th, is to fill the seat vacated by Stephen Dargan. Dargan resigned in early January to take a position with the Connecticut Board of Pardons and Paroles.

There are over 2,000 active and retired union members in the 115th House District.
