ROCKY HILL – The Connecticut AFL-CIO, the federation of unions representing over 220,000 union members, endorses Joshua Hall in the special election for the 7th House District that covers Hartford. The election, which will be held on April 25th, is to fill the seat vacated by Douglas McCrory who was elected to the state senate.

“Now, more than ever, we need strong voices at the Capitol who are willing to make a difference in the lives of working people and we believe that union member Joshua Hall is the best candidate for the seat,” said Lori Pelletier, President of the Connecticut AFL-CIO. “Joshua Hall, as Vice President of the Hartford Federation of Teachers, has a proven record of advocating for working families. He has demonstrated that he is knowledgeable and concerned about a broad range of issues affecting our state. We look forward to working with him at the Capitol.”

There are over 1,700 active and retired union members in the 7th House District.
