Building Pathways CT is a collaborative apprenticeship readiness program designed to help women and minorities access union apprenticeships opportunities.  The collaborative program includes partnerships with the CT Building Trades, CT AFL-CIO, the Joint Apprenticeship Training Committees of various unions and the community service arm of the CT labor movement the John J. Driscoll United Labor Agency.  Recently recognized as a pre-apprenticeship program by the DOL, this program provides training that can be accepted by union JATCs as apprenticeship hours for its participants upon acceptance into an apprenticeship program.

Our inaugural class, based out of the Ironworkers Local 424 facility in North Haven has 9 women preparing to apply for apprenticeships in the building trade of their choice.  The program runs 7 weeks and includes 120 hours of online curriculum from the National Building Trades in addition to classroom and hands on learning.

Please join us on September 1st  at the CT AFL-CIO Labor Day Breakfast for Building Pathways CT 1st graduating class.  Graduation will commence immediately following the breakfast agenda.  Please join us in supporting this very committed graduates.
