ROCKY HILL – The Connecticut AFL-CIO, the federation of unions representing over 200,000 union members, endorses Gregory Cava for State Senator in the special election for the 32nd Senate District, which covers Bethlehem, Bridgewater, Middlebury, Oxford, Roxbury, Seymour, Southbury, Washington, Watertown, and Woodbury.

“Now, more than ever, we need strong voices at the Capitol who are willing to make a difference in the lives of working people and we believe that Gregory Cava is the best candidate for the job,” said Lori Pelletier, President of the Connecticut AFL-CIO. “Gregory Cava has demonstrated that he is knowledgeable and concerned about a broad range of issues affecting our state. We look forward to working with him at the Capitol.”

The election, which will be held on February 28th, is to fill the seat vacated by Robert Kane. Kane resigned in early January to become a state auditor.

There are over 6,000 active and retired union members in the 32nd Senate District.
